Notice the barb wire passes through the horseshoe on this new acrylic painting. Also the cattle tag number 22 is framed by the horseshoe which means it is good luck. Maybe a reference to Caitlyn Clark. All this while the state bird of Iowa the "Goldfinch" looks on and wonders about it all on a warm Spring day. Soft Landing

This 36″x40″ acrylic shows a young girl coaxing a Monarch butterfly to land on her hand dancing in the water. This painting is my most recent as I continue to experiment with color and shadows in water. I am attempting to show as much depth with layers of acrylic paint as I can on canvas. I think I may have a few more days to go in this piece but I am getting close. You can tell I am getting ready for Spring in the north country.

Looking Back

Since I have been building a new website I have gotten away from painting. This piece is my latest and I still make some minor changes to it. It is a small acrylic roughly 20"x20" Have some new pieces now that I am working on and will post them as soon as I get them to a place where they are worth looking at.
