This 24"x24'" acrylic painting is part of another series involving the senses. I have wanted to do a hand study but just the hand was not enough so I included the rusty barb wire to contrast the red fingernail polish.
Apartment 304
This series of 24"x24" acrylic paintings feature the same apartment, at the same time of day, but different years. Things change with each new occupant even though the view maybe the same. Different type of subject matter for me but I enjoyed creating them. Prints will be available for this series.

Fat Cats
This acrylic painting features a muddy underwater scene in a muddy river. The original painting measures 24"x40". A fun painting to do with a lot of stuff going on it. Notice the sign in the mud in front. Prints and original are available of this piece.
Clinton train Depot
This is an image I created that features the Clinton Iowa train depot circa early 1950's. The train featured is the "City Of Denver" A passenger slowly makes her way to catch the train to somewhere else. Prints are available of this image> The original acrylic measured roughly 16x20".
This acrylic image is titled "Enviromental". It is the third piece of the series and I am looking to do a few more to complete it. It measures 29"" x 48" and is available as a print also.
The second piece of this series titled "Stone Walls" features an image surrounded by stones. This acrylic original measures 20"x32" and is available as a print.
This is part of a new series that I just started at the beginning of the year. The acrylic shown here measures 27"x 36" and features an image that I hope makes viewers stop and think about things around them. I am thinking creating 4 or five pieces in this series hopefully that will compel some contemplation when looking at the details of each piece. Prints are available now.
The fondest memories most people have are not always about the “big event” but the normal everyday experiences that lead up to it. As an artist my intent is to visually capture a memory and convey it. A walk, a place, a person a workplace, a gift, a meal, all little things but they are part of every ones personal life mosaic.
Each piece I produce incorporates a unique story behind its creation and each story is connected to other stories waiting to be shared and painted. That is why a lot of my work involves a series of pieces that are connected. As they are produced they unfold to tell a bigger story.
These stories are the very essence of what I paint and they continue to drive me to want to paint art that connects emotionally.
To have an impact the piece should evoke a memory, an emotion something to be lived over every time you view the art. If my work can do this than I know it is a success and a meaningful piece.
