Summer fun begins in downtown Robbinsdale. What is more fun than a sunny days search for a great cookie. This acrylic painting is part of a new series of art featuring small downtown, people, events and places.

Here is painting for just plain fun. If you look there are tons of images some hidden some not that mean something to someone who frequents Duffy's in Osseo Minnesota. Character's galore at this fun spot right in downtown Osseo. Duffy's is celebrating it's 30 year anniversary this summer in late June so put it on your calendar and be sure to tip one with a friend at this legendary bar and grill.

This 30x26" acrylic painting in memory of Eric Applen who played baseball for Champlin Park High School before cancer took his time away us. Through This painting I was hoping to convey that Eric is still and will forever be with us "On Deck" and ready to swing away.  It was donated to auction and to raise money for the 10th annual Eric Applen golf tournament for cancer research. Great people, great cause and great golf. The auction was a lot of fun for all attendees and helped to push more research dollars for cancer research.

A portrait study from earlier in the year. Striking eyes daring you to take a closer look. This was just a fun piece to put together.

This piece is drenched with early morning colors. A lot of symbolism combined with a composition made in the midwest. This started out as a simple landscape painting but it it turned into a lot more visually to take in. This will be another for the "Farm Series" of works.

Turtle In a Bottle

This image started as an idea to show how pollution is impacting our environment in different ways at different levels. There is a reason the plastic bottle has a brand name on it and a turtle is positioned in two different environments.  A box turtle native to the mid-west does not live near oceans and does not live in a plastic bubble floating out on the sea.

Creek in Spring

Waiting for Spring in the upper midwest has thawing ice remnants of snow and animals that have been hard to see all year start showing up near water. This acrylic painting shows all the changing seasons signs. There is just enough color patiently waiting for the splashes of colors to come when the thaw is complete. Summer is not far off.
